The Scrapeater is designed specifically for submerging light gauge scrap and melting quickly and effectively. The Scrapeater has a robust, non-clogging rotor that turns slowly creating a vortex in the well. This vortex motion pulls the scrap into the melt, submerging it quickly. The rotation of the rotor also increases circulation of the furnace.

The unit is capable of handling a wide variety of material sizes from small turnings, to gates and runners and other scrap. The Scrapeater has charge rates of up to 20,000 pounds per hour. The speed of the unit can also be varied to accommodate different scrap feed rates. Why send your light- weight scrap out, when you can melt it in house?

The Scrapeater will increase melt rates, productivity, and metal recovery. By submerging light-weight materials quickly, and minimizing agitation, the metal recovery increases. Typical metal recovery rate improvements range from 2-6 percentage pints. The system is built extremely tough for many years of service life. The rugged design of the submerged graphite parts lead to increased performance and long life of parts.
